Today it seems meta tags are more and more deemed unnecessary. Many people have begun to implement questionable means in an effort to push their classification superior, often deceive the information in the tags. Meta Tags are so sensitive to spamming that it practically makes the tags unnecessary.

Therefore, the most of the major search engines such as Yahoo and Google don t really major factor to judge a site s relevance and had completely ceased to use as a criterion for determining site classification. There are also other hazards associated with meta marking. Given that the labels contain information on your web site, this may potentially be used against you by your competition. They become familiar with the keywords you laboriously chosen and use them to promote their own sites.
